The Admission Process

Admission Application
We will evaluate your application and respond within a maximum of one week. If accepted, we will send you the positive resolution with the link so you can complete your pre-enrollment for the course at the University of Barcelona.
Pre-enrollment Process
  • To complete your pre-enrollment, you must follow these steps:
Request pre-enrollment
  • The link we have sent you with the acceptance resolution of your admission opens the University of Barcelona's pre-enrollment form, where you must complete your personal details.
Pre-enrollment Payment
  • Upon completing your pre-enrollment, an online payment document is issued (make a note of the transaction number).
  • Your payment guarantees your place reservation and the amount will be deducted from the tuition fee. With that transaction number, you can check the payment status of your pre-enrollment at the following Enlace al documento
  • Once pre-enrollment is completed, and to start the enrollment process, you must send us the required documentation, depending on whether your degree is Spanish, recognized (homologated), or not recognized (see Documentation section).
  • The pre-enrollment fee is non-refundable if you do not complete the Master's program.>
Enrollment Process
The steps to proceed with enrollment are:
  • Once the documentation has been verified, you will receive an email with the link for course enrollment. During enrollment, you will be assigned a University of Barcelona identification number (NIUB) and an alphanumeric user code for subsequent access to the UB Student Portal (an information and communication space with the University of Barcelona).
  • Upon completing enrollment, an online payment document is issued for the total remaining tuition amount (deducting what you paid for pre-enrollment). This amount is non-refundable.
  • Now, as a student, you can check your payment status through the UB Student Portal.
  • Once the tuition has been paid, you can access the academic content of the Master's program through its platform Moodle CampusVirtual UB.

Documentation

Applicants with a Spanish or EU degree
Pre-enrolled applicants must send the following information to the Postgraduate Program:
  • : Photocopy of National Identity Document or Passport.
  • Certified copy of the University Degree (both sides).

Applicants with a recognized foreign degree
Pre-enrolled applicants must send the following information to the Postgraduate Program:
  • Certified copy or electronic verification of the document accrediting the official recognition (homologation) of the Degree.
  • Certified copy of the University Degree or certificate proving its issuance.

Pre-enrolled applicants with non-homologated foreign degrees
Pre-enrolled applicants must send the following information to the Postgraduate Program:
  • Photocopy of Passport or National Identity Card
  • University degree or certification accrediting its issuance (original or certified copy or authentic copy with secure verification code).

Payment Methods

What is the price of the master's program?
The total price is €10,000, with €6,000 due the first year and €4,000 the second, which includes all teaching materials, the final degree, and the courses you can take during the master's program (SVB+DEA, SVA, SVAT, SVAP, MCCR, FCCS, ECMO…).
  • Fundamentals in Critical Patient and Emergencies: 2.700€ + 70€ tasas
  • Fundamentals in Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Therapy: 1.200€ + 70€ tasas
  • Fundamentals in Critical Hepatology: 2.800€ + 70€ tasas
Can I pay the tuition fee in installments?
Yes. It is possible to split the tuition payment into two, one in October (1,400 €) and another in January (1,300 €)
What payment methods are available?
The following payment methods are available:
  • Online payment: Via credit or debit card.
  • Payment at the offices of the collaborating banks: Printing the pre-registration receipt and making the payment.
  • Payment by invoice: Must be requested from the Master's Secretariat before paying the pre-registration fee.
If I ultimately don't take the course or have to leave it, can I request a refund?
According to the academic regulations of the University of Barcelona, it is not possible to refund the amount paid for a program. The only exception is in the case of serious illness (considered a force majeure).
